Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to all. I hope you have had as wonderful of a Christmas as we have. May we focus on the true meaning of Christmas and remember our Lord and Saviour on this very special day.

Our family has been so blessed this year. We had two wonderful additions to the family, Tyson finished school, and we've made steps to helping Jaxson control his asthma. Many more wonderful things have happened, but we just wanted to share with all our friends and family that read our blog that we love you all and appreciate all the support we receive from you.

May the new year be as wonderful and blessed for you.

Another 30th surpirse

Tyson really pulled out all the stops on this birthday, I think he was just making sure that he gets a good 30th in 3 years. Either way I had such a great long birthday.

While we were in Utah he planned for my friends who still live in Utah to come over for a winter BBQ. He told me we were going to Brick Oven, which is one of my favorite placed to visit while in Utah. We got all ready and drove on the slick roads to Provo. Once we got there, I had to run to the bathroom because he rushed me out of the house much like my first surprise party. Then he had to go to the bathroom and upon returning the told me that he left he debit card at home. I told him don't worry I have my wallet. Little did I know he had taken my wallet out as well. So back to the car we went. I tried not to be frustrated, but I was hungry too.

Once we got back to the house, he made up a story for me to come back into the house. When I came in my sister Shauna and nephew Jason were standing in the kitchen with Tyson's family. I was so shocked they came all the way from Idaho Falls to spend the night with me. It had been snowing all day and everyone who lived with in an hour drive canceled due to weather. This made having my sister with me even more special. Thank you Tyson for making 30 such a wonderful time in my life. I hope the rest of the 30's go as well.

Jenn joins the thirty club.

Once again I have the best husband. I told him I wanted something big for my 30th and he did a great job. He joined forces with Carli Ganet and Taryn Hartman and they put together a wonderful surprise 30th for me. Due to a late December birthday, I really never got to have birthday parties because everyone was so busy. Well these three proved me wrong.

They planned a How to host a murder party county style. Tyson after much pressure from me told me at least the date of the party, but nothing else. The day of when I asked him what I should wear he told my my pj's that I was wearing would be fine. This really threw me. I had no idea what was going on. About 30 minutes later he came walking in with a costume for me to wear. It was such a surprise.

When I got to the Hartman's, Taryn had turned her back room into a saloon. Everyone looked so great in their costumes, and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

Thank you to all who came it was a very special night and another special thanks to my honey, Carli, and Taryn.

Due to it being a surprise party and Tyson having graduated in the morning and planning a party we forgot the camera, so for those of you who attended I would love copies of the pictures, so I can post those.

Cheese!!!

Aunt Chelsea took this picture a few months ago and he looks so cute we had to post it.

Pictures from Tyson's Graduation.

Just wanted to mention once again how proud I am of my college grad. He worked really hard and it paid off. He looked so handsome in his cap and gown.

I'm such a sap. When they started the procession song and the grad's started walking in, I started to cry. I was filled with so much emotion. Tyson you are a wonderful husband and I know it was not always easy to work, go to school, be in the Bishopric, and be a dad. All of which are full time jobs. Your my hero.

Chelsea captures these special little moments. What a sweet picture of Jaxson.

Close your eyes children!

The whole family came to support Dad on his special day.

My Boys

Carson is so sweet. He is such a happy baby and every time he smiles my little heart melts. He is getting better at eating, but it is still a work in progress.
Thank goodness for play-doh. Jaxson played with it for a whole hour the other day. It was so nice.

So Big and Getting Bigger.

The babies are now six and a half months old and getting so big. I can't believe they are so old already. Addison is still very much a drama queen as Tyson says. She just likes things her way, which is in moms arms. They went to the doctor last week and both are very long for their age. And Carson is about to crawl. He is so ready.
Look at me. I'm so cute.
Carson will smile for anyone, but not Miss Addi.
All three kids love their blankets.

I told Jaxson we were going to go bye bye after mommy fed the babies. After getting them all set up to feed I realized that I forgot something. When I came back, Jaxson was trying to feed the twins. Then I asked if he was going to feed the babies for mommy and he said yes. To cute or weird, I'm not sure.

Whoo Hoo!!!

Tyson finished his last class this last Thursday. He has completed his Bachelors degree. All though his graduation isn't until December he is done. No more Thursday night classes and homework. I don't know who is more excited him or me.

Babe I'm so proud of you and what you have accomplished. You are a rock star. Love Ya!

How blessed we are.

Well this is our last week in our apartment. I'm sad to leave, but I know it is the best thing for the family. This month has been a wee bit crazy. We thought we had Jaxs' asthma under control, but he was in the hospital again. Thursday afternoon I took him to Loma Linda, good family friends said that was the best place to take him. I made the 30 minute drive out and I think it was worth it. Although, once he was admitted our insurance tried to ship him off to another hospital, but they fought to keep us there and we won.

Anyway, he stayed until Saturday afternoon. Mean while Friday morning I woke up sick as a
dog with the flu. I was so sick I almost passed out in the shower, then couldn't hold the twins, had a fever of 104, plus the cold sweats, and more. Once the vomiting started that was when I had had enough.

Tyson stayed the night with Jaxson and then my mom drove out Friday morning so he could come home and get ready for work. By 10:00 am I thought I was going to die. The twins only took a 45 minute nap and that was when I thought I could lie down too. I called my parents crying and Matt came to the rescue. I was so thankful. Tyson got home just in time. Matt couldn't find the baby wipes and he was squatting in front of Addi with her legs in the air and a paper towel to wipe her bum. He didn't want to wake me, so he used what he could find.

By Saturday Jaxson just wanted out of the hospital, but they wanted to do more breathing treatments. The people Jaxson was sharing a room with were not very nice and in fact complained to their daughters specialist about how noisy he was. The doctor then came and asked Tyson to take Jaxson out of the room because the parents needed to rest. However, they had only been there for about an hour and this was the first time Tyson had seen them in 36 hours. Their daughter didn't even cry, it was them who needed to rest. They made them leave, but not before the father asked Tyson if his wife primarily took care of Jaxson. Insinuating that Tyson couldn't do it or was not doing a good job. I was highly insulted by that, so I told Tyson to tell them if they didn't back off I would come with our twins and me with the flu to infect them and be even louder. They only stayed for another two hours and then left again.

WOW! I thought that man was pretty bold for making my child and husband leave after Tyson had been there for two nights and they were only there for a few hours. I'm trying to tell my self they were just stressed out because of their sick child.

While I was sick I had such great support from my visiting teachers and relief society president. Liz made dinner for us and Amy, who just had a baby not even a week ago, called to see if there was anything she could do for us. And Teresa Ward packed up her pillow, blanket, and some clothes and drove to our house to stay the night. I could not have been more blesses then to have good friends and family around us. Then Suzanne High came over the next day to help out, fortunately I was feeling better.

We are now mostly healthy and trying to get everything packed up and ready to go. As I thought about what a terrible weekend we had last week I started to realize just how lucky I am to have such a wonderful support group. My mother in law was ready to get in her car Friday night at 6 PM to drive down to take care of us. The Broderick's are blessed.

May we all show our gratitude at this time for all we have. We have so much more than others. If I don't get back to blogging before Thanksgiving we hope you have a good one.

Happy Thanksgiving

Disneyland

Thanks to our good friends the Silagyi's we were able to go to Disneyland for the day for the price of only one ticket. It pays to know people. We had a GREAT time. We thought we'd only stay for a few hours and stayed for six. Chelsea, Tyson's sister, and her friend Lexy came down from Utah for a few days. It made it possible or should I say more pleasurable to go to Disneyland for the day. Thankfully Jaxson doesn't love it yet, so we will save our selves some money and forgo getting season passes. He just doesn't show any expression when it comes to the rides, characters, etc. He just liked being out side all day.
Riding Mark Twain boat.

Lexi, Jaxson, Chelsea, and Carson taking a little break after riding Haunted Mansion.

I've always wanted to go to Disneyland for Halloween, but the timing was never right. I loved the decorations. We had a great time and I'm sure we'll go back soon.

Halloween- lets go banana's

We wanted to keep Halloween simple this year, so Jaxson went as a BYU football player and boy did he look cute. The twins went as a bunch of bananas. I think they were the cutest bananas a mom could ask for. They didn't seem to mind the costumes to much until they covered their faces. Enjoy the pics.
Papa Ellis and Carson. My dad was by him self most of the month. My mom was only home five days in the month of October. We tried to include him as much as possible so he would get lonely.
This is Tyson and Clint Bartlett tossing Jaxson and Jack up as high as possible. Who knew Tyson could through him so high. I was happy to take the pictures, so I would focus on how high both boys were. As soon as they landed safely in their daddy's arms they would yell "again, again."

Moms gone bananas.

The whole bunch of us.

Jaxson was suppose to eat a donut hanging from a string without using his hands. He was having a hard time so he finally grabbed and pushed it in his mouth. Then spitting it right back out. He doesn't like cake, cookies, brownies, etc. I wish I had that problem.

Addison. She looked so funny with her binky in.

Jaxson loved bobbing for apples. He really just wanted to play in the water and splash people.

Carson

Suprise 50th for Grandpa Broderick

Hee Haa Farm in Pleasant Grove Utah. Jaxson seemed to like the hay ride the very best. He and Tyler were joined at the arms. Jaxson would not let go of Tyler for the night.

Going through a small corn maze. Jaxson's concerned face was present all night long. We can never tell if he is having fun or not.

He loved feeding the ducks. Every day he wanted to go to BYU to feed the ducks. We will have to find some closer to home. We can't go to Utah every time we want to feed the ducks; although I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa wouldn't mind.

Eating solids for the first time.

Who would you guess likes the rice cereal more? I know I was surprised. Addison is our winner. She has gotten the hang of it much better. I left Tyson by him self to feed the twins rice cereal for the first time. He thought at first that she didn't like it, but she was crying because he couldn't get the food in fast enough. We now give two spoon fulls to Addi and one to Carson. It's working currently, but once Carson gets it, it will be madness.
The food just hangs out in his mouth until his fingers go into his mouth and then he sucks the food down like he's nursing.
MORE Please!

Carson rolled over for the first time on October 1st. Papa Ellis came down last Wednesday to help me with the babies and Jaxson while Tyson was at Bishopric meeting.

Carson was showing off and rolled over about ten times. He rolled over almost as fast as I could roll him back to his stomach. He was showing off. Addison isn't even close. Mostly because she cries if she is on the floor for more than a few minutes and can't see me.

So cute
I love watching this little boy sleep. He is so cute. Between his cheeks and those lips it's no wonder I've not kissed them off.
Wow! Got Hair.

Am I a bad mom?

Carson and Addison are on different schedules today which always makes for a long day, Carson put him self right back to sleep as I feed him this morning at 7:25. Tyson brought Addison out about 20 minutes later and got Jaxson out of bed 5 minutes later. I thought for sure he would wake up but he didn't. Addison was done eating and he was still asleep, so I had Tyson put him in Jaxson's room in the crib which doesn't get used because the twins sleep on the floor in the living room and in our room.
Anyway I had just put Addison back to sleep at 9:30 and Carson was still asleep. As I walked out of the room, I saw that he was talking to the bunnies on the sheets and I thought well he's not crying so I'll leave him. It is now 10:15 and still he hasn't cried, so I went to check on him and he put him self back to sleep. Bad mom right?
